| This course is designed for individuals who may disturb asbestos containing materials during routine maintenance or emergency repair operations. This course includes instruction on asbestos background information; review of the OSHA standards for asbestos; health effects of asbestos exposure; containment methods and work practices; respiratory protection and respirator use; medical surveillance requirements; and overview of applicable regulations. This course also meets EPA AHERA and ASHARA
requirements for maintenance staff.
