| This course covers requirements of the OSHA Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200). Topics include: interpretation of material safety data sheets (MSDS) and product labels; elements of the mandatory written hazard communication program; chemical inventory; maintenance of MSDS and labeling; and employee information and training. Employee training to include: physical and chemical hazards of chemicals in the work area; appropriate work practices; personal protective equipment; recognition of releases and appropriate emergency procedures. .
