| The Incident Commander assumes control of the incident scene for all activities after the initial notification of a HAZMAT incident. This training includes training equivalent to the operations level plus: development and implementation of the Incident Command System and emergency response plan; knowledge of hazards and risks associated with employees working in chemical protective clothing; understanding and implementing the local emergency response plan and coordination with state and federal emergency agencies; and additional topics. Course includes hands-on training.
