Lead-Based Paint Abatement Rule Change:
The Tennessee Division of Solid Waste Management's amendment to the notification requirements of Rule 1200-18-01, Lead-Based Paint Abatement, were filed with the Secretary of State July 6, 2020. The amendment, which will change the notification of lead-based activity from fifteen days to five business days, will become effective October 4, 2020. before the expiration of your certificate then take the class and summit your application no less than 60 days
before your license expires. We schedule classes up to 120 days

EPA and HUD have lowered the standards for dust-lead hazard levels clearances:
The new standards for allowable lead dust hazard levels are: Floors - 10 ug/sqft Window Sills - 100 ug/sqft
EPA Dust Clearance standards: Floors - 10 ug/sqft Window Sills - 100 ug/sqft Window Troughs - 400 ug/sqft
